Remember, remember, the 5th of November November 10, 2007
Posted by Al in : educational , trackbackSorry for being late in posting this, but I have been slacking recently. However, I’ll post this now so that I can reference it next year, as this is a worthy article on how Guy Fawkes was Britain’s first real encounter with terrorism, and how our celebration of the 5th of November is a continuation of counter-terrorism methods put in place 400 years ago. It’s an interesting take on Guy Fakes, and one that’s worth remembering as the original meaning has been lost to the majority of revelers around the bonfire, watching fireworks without knowing what they are supposed to symbolise.
