On the loss of faith August 14, 2007
Posted by Al in : interesting, people , trackbackJust to continue on a religious theme, here’s a very interesting account of how a religious reporter suddenly lost his faith in organised religion. I can only hope that he was able to cope with this loss of a deep seated belief structure successfully, and that he is not secretly scared of being faithless. It is good to see that someone who previously had been a devout believer had the courage, and conviction, to start believing what they were seeing was wrong, and against human nature, and that organised religion can often be the root of evil as well as good (in fact there would be no good or evil without dichotomous religions).

I hope to see more accounts like this in the future. As far as I am concerned, this guy has only lost a brick wall acting as a barrier to the world of reason which other religious folk happily keep reinforcing all their lives.
