He hung out with the brash and famous, got addicted to heroin, partied all night long, but then found a conscience and decided to help slaves the world over instead. Now he lives a life of paranoia for reasons more sinister than drugs, and has witnessed more suffering than you, or I, are ever likely to even imagine. This article is well worth a read, especially if you thought that slavery was dead and buried in modern society.
