Why I Like Chinese TV – Part 1 June 4, 2007
Posted by Al in : interesting, video , trackbackI love watching Chinese TV with my girlfriend, even though I still don’t speak Cantonese (or Mandarin) yet. One of the reasons I like it is down to shows like this one. As far as I can tell this show has been running 5 days a week for the last 10 weeks, and is still going strong. It is an epic tale of one man’s journey to create his own community, and neatly bridges the change between traditional Chinese lifestyle, and the arrival of Western culture. It was originally filmed in Mandarin in China, but has been redubbed in Cantonese for the Hong Kong market. This show is amazing, as is the music for the teaser which is shown at the end of every episode, and which I have included here.
