The Antikythera Mechanism – the first computer? May 13, 2007

Another interesting article which describes the Antikythera Mechanism, which was found on the sea floor over 100 years ago. It appears that this device was an early computer, which would calculate the position of the sun, moon and planets for any time and date. This would have been of immense use to people 2,000 years ago. I think that Stonehenge might have been older though, but probably not as flexible.
