Schoolboy imprisoned due to DST April 7, 2007

There are always arguments for, and against the aaplication of Daylight Savings Time. Here in the UK it has very nearly been abolished a few times recently, in order to bring us in line with Europe; in the States there are many who believe that it causes more trouble and cost than any benefits gained. In this particular case DST definitely caused more trouble than expected when a schoolboy was arrested and locked up for 12 days because his school, and the police, forgot about the change in time. I would imagine that lawyers are already swinging into action on behalf of the boy and his family – and in this case quite correctly.
