Singapore still arguing with it’s neighbours March 20, 2007

Singapore is once of the most affluent economies in the world, and definitely one of the strongest it’s region. However this has not pleased it’s neighbours of Malaysia and Indonesia. In fact Indonesia has now boycotted Singapore’s sand trade (used for concrete to make more skyscrapers). Singapore is one of the cities I would like to visit next time I’m out in the East, and one of the reasons is because it is another Chinese enclave, much like Hong Kong. However, if Singapore keeps arguing with more powerful neighbours like Thailand, then it is likely to come to some form of harm if it is not careful.
