VoomPC – a cheap in-car PC January 25, 2007
Posted by Al in : computers, gadget, transport , trackbackNow this could be very interesting. mini-box.com have launched a range of in-car PC’s called the VoomPC. Not only do these come in a nice rugged enclosure, but they also feature battery management that accepts high voltage when you rev the engine, and cuts battery usage as much as possible when not required. Based on the Mini-ITX form factor you can install Windows or Linux and get all the music, films, browsing and navigation software you need. Admittedly you will need to provide a screen, preferably a touchscreen, but for less then $400 you can probably afford to get something good going on in your car.
