The world’s largest skateboard ramp November 10, 2006

What can I say? A skateboard ramp which is 75 foot high, 360 foot long and allows riders to reach speed of up to 55mph! This is definitely a mega-ramp. It’s owner, Bob Burnquist, is a top skater and so designed a ramp that makes riders jump either a 50 foot, or a 75 foot gap before heading on to a 30 foot quarter-pipe which launches them skywards for mega-tricks. If you like skateboarding then this ramp will be a mecca for you.

Looks like Bob has taken some inspiration from Danny Way who pioneered this kind of ramp when he jumped the Great Wall of China. Now that’s a big jump, found here -http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QxwCJiRpz_g
