Amazing designs of Thomas Heatherwick September 29, 2006
Posted by Al in : art,design , trackbackI started looking at this article on the designs of Thomas Heatherwick and thought the staircase design was clever, but possibly too clever. I can see where he’s coming from but I’m unsure about the way it works, possibly the rendering doesn’t do the design justice. Anyway I carried on looking and came to the picture of his face and thought he looked quite punchable so I was about to quit when I came across the pictures of the rolling bridge and thought “I’d really like to see that in action”. So I have revised my opinion on Mr Heatherwick, especially as he’s British, and now think he may actually be an interesting designer after all. I look forward to his future designs and hope they are as adventurous as these.
