Sony eBook reader – as good as a book? September 27, 2006

E-Ink is the way to go. It is economical on battery life, provides a better display then  LCD both in clarity and in angle of view, and just looks cleaner as well. This Sony eBook reader looks like the business – good 6″ display, good angle of view and good storage. The only drawback it has is I just don’t see it matching the tactile feel of holding a nice new paperback for your first read of a story you’ve been looking forward to. I’m sure if you travel a lot, or just like reading constantly and can’t carry enough books with you, then this will be for you – otherwise I’ll still stick to real books at the moment.
