How long does it take to change a light bulb? September 25, 2006

131years is apparently the answer as LED’s are expected to outnumber incandescent lightbulbs by 2010. But this looks to be wrong as firstly Thomas Edison invented the light bulb in 1879, so 121 years would be correct, and secondly the exact timeframe for the invention of the light bulb is not that clear. Still you can be sure that LED light sources will eventually replace all incandescent bulbs, and probably all fluorescent bulbs as well, shortly as their energy savings and quality of light will win over consumers, as will their 10 year lifespan and low energy usage.
