Steve Irwin is dead! September 4, 2006

This is a terrible thing, Steve “Crocodile Hunter” Irwin is dead. He was swimming filiming a new TV series when a StingRay caught him in the heart with it’s barb and Steve died from trauma and blood loss. More from the BBC here, and probably most news sites anywhere as well. Steve was a good man, popular with his staff and TV audiences alike, and appears to have had a very strong loving relationship with his family. He leaves behind his wife and 2 children and I hope they are all OK.
