MyKey2300 – RFID access to your home August 8, 2006

I like the idea of not having to use a key to open your door. having spent some time in Hong Kong where Octopus cards are everywhere and can be used to give access to your appartment block I have realised what a great system this is. Just wave your wallet, or bag, containing your RFID card near the sensor and away you go. With this MyKEY2 2300 you need to press a button first to activate it but from then on it’s a wave and you’re in. If you’re worried about losing a card then it has a slide up keypad for PIN access and if the battery dies then it shuts down in the locked position but has terminals to allow a 9v battery to be connected to fire it back up again. I rather like the idea – don’t know if the girlfriend will though.
