Updates to Alonline.org and my blog November 4, 2005
Posted by Al in : Uncategorized , trackbackI’m quite pleased with some of the work I’ve done tonight:
- Already I’ve learnt CSS and have edited my Style Sheet to show the left-hand navigation links in the same coulour as my Blog headings, and also removed the normal underlining you get with links;
- I’ve added Javascript to my Blog template to match the other pages and I’ve also changed the template so that links will open in a new window rather than opening in the same frame the Blog is in;
- I’ve also changed the Template so that the title links now have a Tool Tip that reflects their content, rather than just sayin “External Link”;
- I’ve also tidied up the spacing in the top and left frames.
I’ve still got a bit left to do though:
- I can’t decide whether the main body text should remain cyan, in which case I should alter the Blog text’s colour to match, or whether the white of the Blog is a better choice;
- my little Javascript scroller in the top left corner has got to change, even if it’s just to redo some of the links;
- there are about 5 pages that haven’t been set up properly yet;
- I’m not sure whether the Blog looks OK just by itself if it’s veiwed without going through my site. So I’m debating whether to include some Javascript again to force it to load in alonline.org if it’s loaded externally.
Apart from those to-dos I’m quite happy.
