Aiola island – cool bridge and bar combined December 17, 2007

Here’s a nifty piece of architecture and design: Aiola Island sits in the middle of the Mur river, in Austria, and not only allows pedestrians to cross the river but also gives them somewhere to stop along the way and refresh themselves in a very stylish bar. I’m hoping to go to Austria and Germany next year, so I might see if I can pay this place a visit (although it is over 50 miles from Salzburg, which is one of my intended destinations)
