Jump Britain – a documentary on Parkour June 28, 2007

I stumbled across this new TV site today, called Chime.TV. I’m not sure whether it’s any better than any of the other video sites out there, or whether it’s better better than Democracy as a system for playing and amalgamating videos. However, when browsing it’s initial options I came across this documentary all about Parkour, and set in the UK.

I found this documentary interesting, and even though the actual Parkour on display was not exactly ground-breaking, it was great to see so many people enjoying themselves, and using their bodies and minds to better themselves and not to discomfort others. All the people interviewed seemed to be able to string sentences together, which places them above the majority of sports stars these days, and all seemed thoroughly happy with themselves, their compatriots and their sport. I’d say this was well worth a watch, as I just enjoyed spending almost an hour watching it myself.

Go here to watch the video and to see Chime.TV as well.
