The etymology of "OK" April 23, 2007

Have you ever wondered where the word/phrase “OK” came from? If you have then you need to read this article to find out. I was surprised to find it came from a misspelling, and a deliberate misspelling at that. Once again interesting stuff from the Straight Dope.
