Bubba – taking NAS to a new level April 14, 2007

I’ve already invested in a NAS for my network, and regretted it once I realised it would only work with XP as Netgear had altered the ZFS file system for their own purposes. It still works but I have to use my XP machine as a file server if I need to access my NAS – which is not ideal. It would also be nice to get more out of a NAS than just file storage, which is why Bubba looks rather interesting. The price looks reasonable, and if it really is as flexible as this article suggests, then it would make an ideal addition to any network.
