Google says to swim the Atlantic March 30, 2007
Posted by Al in : bizarre, website , trackbackMore proof that the geeks in Google do have a sense of humour. If you use Google Maps and plot a route between Chicago and London then when you reach the coast the next step is to swim 3,462 miles across the Atlantic. I find it even more amusing that they suggest you land in France, rather than Britain, and then catch a ferry between Calais and Dover then drive to London. If I had just swum the Atlantic I would get out at Ireland and then catch a ferry to Wales then continue on to London – preferably on a train with my feet up.
