Cheney would "probably" refuse a subpoena November 6, 2006

It must be nice to be in a position to be able to completely ignore the law, if you so wish to. Dick Cheney is likely to be served a subpoena to testify before congress, but doesn’t believe that such a legal document and procedure should apply to him, or to the president. Sounds perfectly reasonable to me – they’re only the leaders of the nation, so why should the nation’s laws apply to them? The sooner the USA gets rid of their current political system, or at least remove the executive powers of the president, the vice-president, and their immediate office, then the sooner the rest of the world will stop laughing at them (whilst secretly worrying about so much power being invested in such a small number of people).
