Tetris – the story behind the game October 31, 2006

You may think that Sudoku is addictive, but when you start to play Tetris hours of you life can disappear without trace simply because the game is so simple, and yet so addictive. I remember spending every chance I could playing Tetris on my housemates’ Commodore Amiga back in 1990. It ruled my life because, as in every great game, the only reason to lose was because I had made a mistake. Therefore I could do better next time, as long as I didn’t make a mistake. Many hours later I would pack up for bed cursing the game for ruining my life. So this documentary is a great insight into how this game came to be, and who I should be having a go at for ruining my attempt at getting a degree.
