What would you make free if you had $100m? October 23, 2006
Posted by Al in : interesting,Internet , trackbackThat’s the question asked by Jimmy Wales, the creator of Wikipedia. In this brief post, that started a huge thread, he mentions having recently talked to someone who may be willing to spend $100,000,000 on the copyrights for things that would be better off freely usable by the public. I really can’t think of anything myself, although maybe buying the patents on proven medicines that are too expensive to be bought by common folk would be a good idea. If you can think of anything you can always reply to his initial post and thread.
