Common errors in English October 21, 2006
Posted by Al in : educational , trackbackNow if I were to point out that the majority of these errors appear to be aimed squarely at the American user of English then I may be castigated as anti-American. Instead I will let you have a look at these common errors and decide whether they would normally apply to any British speakers of English – I, personally, feel they would normally apply to those for whom English is a second language, or Americans. But when I think about these errors a little bit more I begin to think that the standard of education, and of thinking, appears to be slipping so far these days that such common errors will probably become so common that they will, in fact, become common English at some point in the near future. That’s the great thing about the English language – it’s constantly evolving.
