Nurburgring in a Lotus Elise October 9, 2006
Posted by Al in : motoring,video , trackbackI do like the Nurburgring – it is the ultimate racetrack. And more importantly it’s somewhere that a lot of racing enthusiasts go to enjoy themselves. Now the driver of this Elise is obviously quite good and certainly knows his way around the track. What I really like though (apart from the sound of a close-ratio, close-cut gearbox screaming) is the way he enjoys himself. He knows that the Corvette has double his power and the extra gear that his Elise really needs, but he certainly gives the Corvette grief around the twisty section – he even has to short-shift quite a few times. I just want a track car with a gearbox that sounds like this now.
