Anti-homeless benches October 8, 2006

This might be the future of public seating, and even of all public designs. These benches in Japan are specifically designed to prevent their use as a bed for the homeless. An more and more public fittings and architecture has also been fitted with things to make your stay uncomfortable. I wonder how long it will take for this kind of design to spread around the world?
