How to build your own mood lamp September 7, 2006

These lamps look quite cool, and seem simple enough to build as well. Take a basic, plastic Ikea lamp, add some high power coloured LED’s and a PIC controller. The software for the PIC is supplied in this guide, so all you have to do is wire them together and then insert into the lamp. Looks really good in the video, and would be considerably cheaper than buying a Mathmos mood light instead.
