Dolphins – clever critters really September 6, 2006

Dolpihns are remarkable creatures. I like all the marine mammals, it’s amazing how at home they are in what is essentially a lethal environment, but dolphins combine grace and intelligence well. And it looks as though they are far more intelligent than we may previously have thought as they can learn not just behaviours but languages; they are self-aware; and I paritcularly like the initial tale in this interesting article where the one dolphine learnt to exploit her trainers.
