Shaolin Kung-Fu vs Tae Kwan Do August 31, 2006

Posted by Al in : fighting, video , trackback

I’ve just found this little gem of a video and I’m desperately searching for the conclusion to it. I’m really impressed as Shaolin Kung-Fu is a non-contact regime whereas Tae Kwan Do is almost entirely semi- or full-contact. Given this Tae Kwan Do should rule in any form of real fight, but in this video I would say the Shaolin practitioner has the upper-hand. I would love to know how this video ends, so if you know please send me a link to watch, but I reckon my money is on the Shaolin monk.

Tae kwon do is one of the most least effective martial arts out there due to the fact that they focus on kicks almost constantly. In a real world fight I’d put money on the kung fu exponent any day.
And shaolin kung fu involves a lot of sparring just like most other forms of kung fu.
