How to set up a thin client network August 31, 2006
Posted by Al in : computers, home, networking, software , trackbackI like this idea – it has just gone straight into my del.icio.us favourites as something I will have to look into. I would like a PC downstairs connected to the TV, and have been looking into any number of Small Form Factor PCs to try to find the best. I recently blogged the Shuttle M2000 as a good bet, but expensive, however this thin client idea may be a better way to go. With this thin-client network I could use the smallest Mini-ITX box, or even something smaller, and end up with a workable unit to browse the Internet, play music and DVDs and do any other trivial tasks that I would be likely to do when downstairs watching the TV.
