Posted by Al in : travel,website , trackbackAlthough it is not too difficult to use Google Maps, and even to create your own custom maps and then place them on your own web pages, to use them easily and quickly to create a map giving directions is quite hard. And even worse you will need a key from Google if you want to embed a map on one of your pages. This is where ShowMeWhere comes in as they allow easy creation of maps that you can then email to someone and they can work out there directions from there. You can use your own text, including HTML to make it fancy, and can even provide custom icons for your markers. Looks like a good service to me, I shall be using it in future.
