The Time Fountain August 10, 2006

I want one of these – I hope this guy has realised that this couldbecome a desktop/dresser display piece that people would pay money for.And I hope he’s patented his idea as well, because this Time Fountainis very clever. Add some fluorescent dye to water and allow it to dripin a controlled manner, then take some LEDs and strobe them so that thedrops of water seem to be frozen in mid-air. Altering the speed of thestrobes allows you to let the drops fall faster, slower, freeze inmid-air or even fall upwards. Very clever, very nice to watch and I want one.
