Handheld retro gaming August 8, 2006

This looks like a great idea – a handheld multimedia device that runs Linux. This means that it can play music in all forms, videos in all codecs (with a little bit of work), and can also play games of many formats. Apart from those which have been ported to Linux the GP2X from Game Park is also perfectly suited to older game simulators, whether MAME or other more specific emulators. The list of games available for this is huge and there are some very good games as well. Might be worth the money as $169 is not a lot really.
