The Tesla Roadster – the first cool electric car July 23, 2006
Posted by Al in : invention, motoring , trackbackNow if I win the lottery I will be needing to buy a lot of fast cars, and I might just consider an electric car for the first time. The Tesla Roadster is basically a Lotus Elise, which is a cracking car anyway, but with an electric motor that actually works. 0-60 in around 4 seconds, a good top speed and the Elise’s chassis is one of the best anyway. The only thing that would put me off is getting in and out of one of the damn things – I have tried an Elise and a VX220 before and they are the hardest, and most inelegant, cars ever made to get in and out of. Still with good handling, good preformance and the benefit of knowing that the worls will love you and your pollution free transport I think it would be worth it.
