Lover’s Leap speed climb – Dan Osman December 30, 2005

There’s brave, there’s foolhardy and then there’s just plain suicidal! Dan Osman reaches for the top is one of those videos that makes my stomach suqirm and my balls tighten, I almost can’t watch but somehow I have to just see it through.

I’ve just googled Dan Osman and he died on Novemeber 23 1998 whilst falling 1,200 ft in Yosemite Park. However it wasn’t a clinbing accident, he used to jump stupid distances and then let his rope catch him. On this occasion he was attempting to jump/fall 1,100 ft but the rope snapped rather than stretched. Ho-hum!
