TransMedia Plots Death Of The Desktop November 6, 2005

Either the world is going thin-client, or Online Services are taking over. Anyway this could be something to look out for. If it’s take up is as quick as GMail’s then it will be worth registering for as soon as you can if you’d like a good name. (I’m guessing that it will work based on a unique name).

Just to add to this then the TransMedia site is currently completely blank, although you can see what was there (sort of) in Google’s cached web pages. Looks like the word is out and they have had too many hits to cope – in which case that doesn’t bode well for their servers if this Glide takes off.
