What is most amazing about this performance, to me anyway, is that the guy inside the costume can’t see what he is doing. This makes it difficult to coordinate himself whilst performing, and would make planning and perfecting the routine difficult as well. So, to present such a great show is even more amazing.

If you were struggling to mingle with the “in-crowd” in the sixties then you might have needed the useful resources available on this record. Although, as mentioned in the first few seconds of the record, trying to be hip by buying a record teaching you to be hip is possibly the most un-hip thing anyone could do. However, it is rather funny and I enjoyed listening to it – see what you think

Electric Oyster are a design team keen to show off their Flash based talent, and this is how they would like to do so. I found it quite relaxing, and I’ve always liked Oxygene or Equinox – whichever the track is that is played during your flight. Have a look here and see if you like it too.

This is an interesting take on a musical instrument: a drum machine/sequencer controlled by light and a rotating drum. I’m not sure how useful it would actually be, but it’s quite configurable, so there are always options.

The Kishigawa Line – a very cute railway line

This railway line in Japan seems designed for kids, but would really appeal to almost anyone. It has ornaments, cots, and varnished wooden floors all housed in gaudily painted cars. It’s another one of those quintessentially Japanese creations. I still would really like to visit Japan, just to see how weird they really are.

Mad cow rants about mad cow disease

This is also quite bizarre, and has the beauty of being written about mad cow disease by an obviously unhinged woman – leading to all sorts of humorous tag-lines. Anyway, the gist of this lady’s tale is that she believes that she was deliberately infected with mad cow disease whilst visiting Britain in 1998. The story is both sad and pitiful, yet also highly amusing – especially when Prince William starts asking her to let him impregnate her, but he uses subliminal means to get that message to her. Sometimes I think that being mad is both easier and more fun than living in the real world.
