Now here’s a guy I’d like to see more of. This act is clever, intelligent, well thought out, targeted at his audience and incredibly well performed. When you first start watching you might think he’s a bit of a bumbling fool; but it doesn’t take long for Lennart to impress you with his skill, and once he gets you smiling you won’t stop until the end of the show. I’m going to look for more of his stuff, as I think he’s brilliant.

3,000bhp Chevy

Take an old American car, completely rebuild it with a space-frame chassis and then fir a 3,000bhp Merlin engine from a Spitfire. Do this and you have a nice car, but when you spend that extra time in getting the bodywork and artwork just right then you end up with an amazing car. I’d love to see a video of this car in real action, but this video shows how well prepared it is.

What is most amazing about this performance, to me anyway, is that the guy inside the costume can’t see what he is doing. This makes it difficult to coordinate himself whilst performing, and would make planning and perfecting the routine difficult as well. So, to present such a great show is even more amazing.

Tumbling – uber-gymnastics

Tumbling is what everyone wants to see when it comes to gymnastics. It takes all those jumps and spins you see in the floor exercises and just takes them one step further. Forget about artistic interpretation, instead just work on raw speed and agility/ability. I believe that experienced tumblers can get up to 25mph, which is faster than most sprinters. Anyway, I want to see tumbling become an internationally recognised sport and for it to appear in more competitions. See what you think.

My apologies for becoming some sort of video site, but this is something that captured my imagination. I can’t really imagine how intense this must feel, particularly when you overtake a motorised vehicle whilst powered only by gravity, but I can guess that the entire experience must be amazing. Watch and see what you think.
