Here is a demonstration of how to defend yourself against someone wielding a gun – although this also looks like something of an ego trip for the demonstrator, who really doesn’t seem to be pulling his punches and slaps enough. Educational though, and well worth a watch.

Hollywood has tried to paint the world of war and conflict as one where America rules, and saves the rest of the world from certain domination or destruction. However, there are other views on the world of warfare and this list is quite educational – there a are a few films in this list that I might be interested in watching after reading about them. But what is best, in my opinion, is that they rate Zulu as the number 1!! If you haven’t yet seen Zulu – shame on you! If you have seen it before, but not recently, then it’s time to watch it again. It is, quite simply, bloody brilliant!

More reasons why Israel should face International sanctions, should no longer be given the support of the US (and other Western) governments, and why Zionism is as extreme, if not more extreme, than any other religion in the world. And to think, these people still use the holocaust as an excuse to commit genocide and other atrocities against races and creeds other than their own. Hypocrisy on an untenable and almost unbelievable level. Is it any wonder that the Middle East and other Muslim nations rage against Israel and its supporters.

This video (Dispatches: The Killing Zone – in case it gets taken down) is extremely brutal and might be disturbing, however it is something that I think more people should see. Watch and learn.

Nobody has ever come close to Jackie when it comes to fights with a comedy element, and very few could beat him in a serious fight either. Watch, enjoy, go get the films.

This has to be one of the best quotes ever, and I have to take my hat off to the guy who uttered it. Faced with 3 armed robbers, one of whom was holding a knife to his daughter’s throat, Bernard Dwyer decided that enough was enough, and he took on his assailants despite being heavily beaten beforehand, and managed to see them off despite receiving multiple stab wounds to his head. I can only praise Mr Dwyer on his courageousness, and I wish that we had stronger sentences in the UK for people who are incontrovertibly guilty of serious crimes.

HRex – the unstoppable robot that’s also cute

Since this robot is being designed for military applications it should be terrifying; particularly as it is virtually unstoppable. Instead, through its mad scrambling legs, its accident prone progress and its somehow pet-like appearance, it is cute instead of aggressive. However, I’m certain that if it was equipped with a weapon, or even just with a bomb, then it would be something that you’d want to get away from as quickly as you could.
