Bayou – a beautiful online comic

Wow! That’s all I can say to this piece of web design. Not only does this work well as a comic, but the whole deign behind it is just amazing as well. I love the way the pages blur as you move from one to the next, I like the individual designs for the loading messages, navigation is simple whether you are in full screen (recommended) or not, and to top all this off the drawings themselves are wonderful. There’s also a good story behind it all. Go and read it and hope that more comics are released using this, or a similar format.

When I am King – a strange web comic

Now this is strange. Clever, well made and artful? Yes, but still strange. It’s a web based comic (which utilises the web environment very well) which explores human/camel sexuality, lust and longing, penis size and penis envy, pride, embarrassment, harassment, and unrequited love. This is a lot of disparate topics for a simple web comic to cover, and I think it does so very well. Whether you think so is another matter, but I think you should give it a go, just in case.

Clever browser animation

The story to this little flick is non-existent, the film itself is nothing you haven’t seen before, and the browser animation is rather old-hat these days. However, together they work rather well, and I really liked their faces at the very end as they ask you to choose Yes or No.

A brief health Reminder

Once again strangeness is the order of the day with this piece of animation. I’m rather glad I’ve never contracted “cacky bird legs”, and that my walls don’t cry at night. However, I’d not rule out the option of being ill, or unhealthy – I’d just prefer a slightly more normal cure.

These guys are really rather clever, although they still fit into the “too much time on their hands” category that I’ve never got round to adding.
