If you’re visiting Thailand, and you end up in Chiang Mai, then you ought to avoid sleeping in parked cars. Although the Infamous Buffalo Ladyboy Gang have now been arrested, it is possible that another gang may attempt to copy their modus operandi and rob you whilst also offering weird sexual favours. Quite bizarre, really, and possibly only ever likely to happen in Thailand.

Whilst I definitely don’t approve of the drink driving, I can only applaud this Canadian’s commitment to committing the ultimate victimless crime. High on crack, drunk, naked, masturbating with a prostitute whilst speeding allows him to tick some unusual boxes – I only hope he was blaspheming and farting at the same time, just to complete the set.

Mad cow rants about mad cow disease

This is also quite bizarre, and has the beauty of being written about mad cow disease by an obviously unhinged woman – leading to all sorts of humorous tag-lines. Anyway, the gist of this lady’s tale is that she believes that she was deliberately infected with mad cow disease whilst visiting Britain in 1998. The story is both sad and pitiful, yet also highly amusing – especially when Prince William starts asking her to let him impregnate her, but he uses subliminal means to get that message to her. Sometimes I think that being mad is both easier and more fun than living in the real world.

I never knew that pipetting caused such strain on your thumbs, or that an automated pipetting system would be such a boon to an overworked lab assistant. And I would never have guessed that to sell such a system the makers would consider bringing in a boy band to entice the attractive lab assistant into considering saving her thumbs. Really, quite bizarre.

16 injured by wrong ammunition in France

This is weird, and I’m not sure how this could happen by accident. The French Army were demonstrating a hostage rescue scenario to the public in Carcassonne, but on the 6th demonstration real bullets were fired instead of blanks and 16 people in the audience were mown down. Now I’ve a few friends who are in, or have been in, the forces and they assure me that blanks and real bullets are quite distinct. So how the soldier could have loaded the wrong bullets by accident is debatable – but I’ll leave that up to a court to decide. Instead I can only imagine how surprising it must have been to suddenly be shot whilst watching a family demonstration – highly shocking and not very pleasant at all.
