Humans – born to run April 18, 2007

It might be possible that our ability to run long distances, at a reasonable pace and in inclement conditions, may have made us the successful species that we are today. I rather like this theory, as it accounts for a number of adaptations that might not make sense by themselves, such as body hair loss. I have watched the Australian aborigines use this endurance hunting technique on TV, and it definitely works, and works reliably well. So I would regard this idea as a definite maybe, even a positively likely.
