The most important briefcase in history February 6, 2007

It’s hard to believe that soemthing as small as a briefcase could swing the entire Second World War, but that is definitely the case with this case. Although this particular briefcase carried many of Britain’s secrets, it was the cavity magnetron that reall made all the difference. This simple, but unique device enabled low power, low frequency RADAR, which enabled British (and US) planes to navigate, and to locate enemy aircraft. Without RADAR we would probably have lost the Battle of Britain, and so the war. Therefore this one briefcase managed to save the world from complete dominannce by the Nazis.
