More reasons not to upgrade to Vista February 2, 2007
Posted by Al in : computers , trackbackI was planning on aplying for my free upgrade to Vista tomorrow, however I may now have second thoughts after reading this little article. If you look into the fine print of Vista, then you will discover that you are handing over almost complete control of your PC to Microsoft. Also HD content is unlikely to play correctly on computer monitors, despite the fact they may have a better resolution than some HD TV’s. However if they lacj the HDMI port, and the resulting HDCP protection, then Vista will “downgrade” the picture quality for you – whether you like it or not. I think I’ll probably still go for the upgrade, but I might wait a while before applying it.
