The poetry of Donald Rumsfeld November 11, 2006
Posted by Al in : bizarre, music , trackbackThere is a certain keen insight in Mr Rumsfeld’s speeches. A cutting, directness that lets you know exactly what is going on and what is going to be done about it. A true politician’s ability to continue talking long after the brain has given up and is off playing patience in the background. For example Mr Rumsfeld’s comments on what is known:
As we know,
There are known knowns.
There are things we know we know.
We also know
There are known unknowns.
That is to say
We know there are some things
We do not know.
But there are also unknown unknowns,
The ones we don’t know
We don’t know.
And so why not set these wonderful insights to music? Well I can tell you a reason actually – the music is crap. However it is still worth a read.

We’re all just too stupid and Donald Rumsfeld is the genious. He says the war is just too complicated for us simpletons to figure out. Now he has to figure out how to stay out of jail. He best not travel to Germany anytime soon.
